The Cleveland Division of Police seeks a Crime Analyst II to provide sophisticated analytical support for police operations. The role involves compiling crime data from UCR, NIBRS, and various sources, producing tactical and strategic analyses, and delivering actionable insights to commanders.

Responsibilities include creating crime maps, conducting GIS-based spatial analysis, and presenting complex reports to inform manpower deployment and resource allocation.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in CS, information science, crime analysis, criminal justice, statistics, or related field.
• Full-time professional experience in research, compiling, and analyzing crime trends in law enforcement preferred.
• Valid State of Ohio Driver's License required.
• Fundamentals of Crime Analysis and Exploring Crime Analysis preferred; Essential Skills I & II or related cert preferred.
• Certification in 28 CFR Part 23 required.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint required.
• Proficiency in GIS, Phone Toll Analysis, Link Analysis, Social Network Analysis, BI Software and SQL or similar.

Responsabilidades

• Perform crime analysis activities; read, interpret and summarize crime reports to identify trends.
• Organize summarized information into reports; create charts, graphs, maps for tactical planning.
• Develop crime maps using GIS; conduct spatial analysis and present mapping products.
• Create strategic and administrative reports; research complex crime trends and profiles.
• Create, build, and maintain BI queries from RMS and CAD data to produce analytics.
• Conduct background research on suspects using state, county and federal databases.
• Recommend training and improvements in crime analysis practices.
• Perform other related duties as required.
