Job summary

ABB in Kraków invites engineers with a passion for cost-effective design to join our R&D team. You will contribute as an independent and reliable developer in projects, focusing on cost reduction for energy distribution products using DfA/DFM and Should-Cost analyses.

You'll lead or support cross-functional teams, facilitate workshops with international colleagues, and prepare documentation to present results to customers, helping ABB build a cleaner, smarter future.

Qualifications

• Experience with Design for Assembly/Manufacturing or Should Cost analyses.
• 3–4 years of experience in product or part designing.
• English communication skills.

• Facilitating workshops with international cross-functional teams.
• Preparing documentation and presenting analysis results to customers.

Qualifications for the role:

• Master degree in mechanical / electrical engineering.
• You are highly skilled in and enjoy working with Design for Assembly/Manufacturing or Should cost analyses and the energy, automotive or similar market.
• You are passionate about creating cost effective product concepts and looking for potential design improvements.
• Ability to demonstrate up to 3-4 years of experience in product or part designing.
• Analytical but also out of box thinking is your nature.
• You are at ease communicating in English.
