Job summary

State Street is seeking a Senior Associate in Corporate Actions to handle high‑risk processes, process instructions, and audit confirmations in IBOR for global market events. The role partners with global custodians to confirm entitlements and allocates workload for the team, ensuring BAU and escalation paths are clear.

The role requires a strong background in Corporate Actions, ISO 15022 standards, and a solid English facility, with a degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in Corporate Actions is required.
  • Understanding of Corporate Action Lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of Swift Messaging Standards (ISO 15022).
  • Excellent English communication, financial services background.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an Expert of an operating team handling complex corporate actions.
  • Provide training and coaching to team members.
  • Account transactions in Investment Books of Records (IBOR) and reconcile entitlements.
  • Prioritize workload and ensure daily tasks are completed.
  • Support risk management and end-of-day reporting with escalation when needed.
  • Act as SME on projects to improve corporate actions products.

Role Purpose

An excellent opportunity has arisen at the senior associate level within Corporate Actions which involves carrying out a high risk function within the operation. The successful candidate’s responsibilities primarily include processing instructions and auditing confirmation as well as accounting transactions in Investment Books of Records (IBOR) for respective allotted clients for Global market events within a Middle Office or Custody environment. This will also involve working closely with Global (Sub) Custodians around the entitlement confirmation process on behalf of a diverse client base. Senior Associate perform allocate workload for rest of the team, close BAU with EON checks, act as first point of escalation.

Role Responsibilities
  • Act as an Expert of an operating team providing support and control over complex and time critical corporate action events and transactions.
  • Provide training and coaching to team members
  • Account transactions in Investment Books of Records (IBOR) for respective allotted clients and reconciling entitlements.
  • Assist managers by prioritizing the workload and ensure daily tasks are completed
  • Ensure effective risk management by coordinating or completing end of day management reporting and ensuring timely escalation and resolution of pertinent issues.
  • Act as a subject matter expert support on projects and initiatives aimed at improving the corporate action product.
  • Provide coverage in the absence of team member or First Line Manager.
  • As assigned process and/or resolve complex issues such as, but not limited to analyze and research Corporate actions across the globe
  • Assist and co-ordinate procedural changes to the current process
  • Identify areas where a process can be automated
  • Deliver effective client service
Key Knowledge/Qualifications/Experience
  • Proven experience in Corporate Actions environment is a must
  • Understanding of Corporate Action Lifecycle
  • Knowledge of Swift Messaging Standards (ISO 15022)
  • An excellent understanding of the financial services industry
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Good knowledge of financial instruments
  • Good knowledge of Custody Banking
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Package
  • Educated to a degree level (preferred)
  • Experience in supervising a team is an advantage but is not essential.

Minimum Salary

zł87,000 Annual

The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.

Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.

In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.
