State Street is seeking a Credit Control Operations Officer to join the Enterprise Risk Management division. You will own credit limit monitoring, exception management, and risk reporting, collaborating with risk managers and global teams to protect the firm.
You will turn data into insights, deliver metrics and commentary for senior management, support audits, and drive process improvements through automation. Hybrid work and a permanent contract accompany a broad benefits program.
We are looking for a Credit Control Operations (Officer) to join the Credit Control function within State Street’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) division. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced risk professional who values ownership, analytical depth, and high‑impact work at the intersection of credit risk governance, controls, and management reporting. You will join a team close to decision‑making, playing a key role in protecting the firm through disciplined monitoring, escalation, and transparency.
This role is offered in a hybrid working model, allowing you to combine flexibility with meaningful in‑office collaboration.
Credit Control is critical to ensuring State Street’s credit risk profile remains well governed, visible, and within risk appetite. The team provides early warning through limit monitoring, exception escalation, and insightful risk metrics relied upon by senior management and regulators. By joining the team, you will directly contribute to the strength and resilience of the Credit Risk framework, helping the organization respond quickly to risk events while continuously improving controls, data quality, and processes.
In this role, you’ll sit at the heart of Credit Risk governance, ensuring real‑time visibility and control over the firm’s credit exposures. You will take ownership of credit limit monitoring and exception management, quickly identifying, investigating, and escalating issues such as limit breaches or aged overdrafts.
You will turn data into insight by delivering clear, high‑quality risk metrics and commentary that senior stakeholders rely on for decision‑making. Beyond day‑to‑day execution, you’ll help strengthen the control environment- improving data quality, supporting audits and regulatory reviews, and contributing to smarter, more efficient processes through automation and continuous improvement.
Working closely with Risk Managers and partner teams across the organization, you’ll play a visible role in keeping the firm within risk appetite while helping modernize how Credit Control operates.
