Job summary

Flix is seeking a DevOps/Cloud Infrastructure Engineer in Warsaw for a service-based collaboration (B2B). You will design, build and operate Flix cloud infrastructure connecting train systems to backend services, using Terraform/Terragrunt and AWS, with a focus on secure, observable, reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering and running cloud environments.
• Proficient with AWS; other clouds welcome.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform/Terragrunt for provisioning and automation.
• Solid understanding of systems architecture and system design.
• Knowledge of networking including mTLS/SSL.
• Foundational security knowledge applied to infrastructure decisions.
• Ability to lead technical proposals across backend and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate the cloud infrastructure that connects onboard train systems with Flix's backend services.
• Maintain and evolve the infrastructure-as-code foundation (Terraform/Terragrunt).
• Steer technical proposals across backend and infrastructure to a production-ready solution.
• Contribute to system design discussions and challenge architectural decisions when needed.
• Define and implement secure communication between trains and the cloud (mTLS, cert management, network design).
• Collaborate with train manufacturers and Flix teams to ensure reliable deployment and operation.
• Work with backend teams to ensure services are easy to run, monitor and observe.
• Maintain platform reliability, observability and security to pre-empt issues.
