Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Finance Controller for a maternity-cover fixed-term contract until April 2028. The role leads general accounting, statutory reporting, and close processes for European entities.

You will manage seven accounting professionals, drive process improvements, and ensure SOX compliance while maintaining strong internal controls. Hybrid work setup in Poland supports collaboration across entities, with English fluency and a CPA/ACCA or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
• 5+ years in statutory accounting, general ledger, or financial reporting.
• 1+ year leading accounting professionals and teams.
• Fluent English and strong knowledge of internal controls (SOX).

Responsibilities

• Lead general accounting activities across GL accounts and reconciliations.
• Own accounting and financial reporting for assigned entities with deadlines.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Review data for accuracy, address issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee statutory and corporate reporting aligned with standards.
• Develop and coach a team of seven accounting professionals.
• Maintain risk and control framework, ensuring audit readiness.
• Drive process improvements and control effectiveness.
