Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
• 5+ years in statutory accounting, general ledger, or financial reporting.
• 1+ year leading accounting professionals and teams.
• Fluent English and strong knowledge of internal controls (SOX).

Responsibilities

Join our finance team and play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and accounting excellence across multiple European entities. This is an exciting opportunity to lead critical record-to-report activities, manage a team of accounting professionals, and drive process improvements that support business performance and operational efficiency.

What You Will Do

• Lead general accounting activities, including preparing, maintaining, and reconciling general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial records.
• Own accounting and financial reporting activities for assigned legal entities, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes while meeting all reporting deadlines.
• Review financial data, identify issues impacting accuracy and compliance, and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee statutory and corporate reporting requirements to ensure alignment with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
• Manage and develop a team of seven accounting professionals through coaching, workload coordination, and performance support.
• Maintain the risk and control framework for assigned processes, ensuring documentation, control execution, and audit readiness.
• Drive process improvement, standardization, audit remediation, and compliance initiatives to enhance efficiency and control effectiveness.

What You Will Need

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in statutory accounting, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, or audit.
• Minimum 1 year of experience managing or coordinating accounting professionals.
• Fluent English proficiency.
• Knowledge of internal controls and compliance frameworks, including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Preferred

• Professional accounting certification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience using SAP and/or Hyperion.
• Experience within a multinational company, shared services environment, or public accounting firm.

Poland Pay Ranges:

Poland : zł191.100 - zł318.500 PLN Annual
