Job summary

Samsung's language and speech processing team in Warsaw is seeking computational linguists and language experts to join a multilingual European team. You will work on NL training, language resources, and annotation for our Intelligent Assistant.

Collaborate with NLP engineers, develop linguistic resources, augment corpora, and maintain test annotations across devices, in a hybrid model with an office in Warsaw Spire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in linguistics, philology or related fields.
• Excellent command of Slovenian (min. B2, preferred C1-C2).
• Practical knowledge of formal grammars and syntax.
• Interest in linguistics, AI, NLP, NLU, LLMs, etc.
• Practical experience applying LLMs to computational linguistics tasks
• English proficiency for professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Implementation, localization, and improvement of NL capabilities for the Intelligent Assistant (NL training, language resources, annotation).
• Development of new linguistic resources for projects.
• Augment language corpora with domain-specific text data.
• Maintain test set annotation and end-to-end testing on devices; collaborate with NLP engineers.

• Implementation, localization, and improvement of capabilities of our next-generation Intelligent Assistant from the natural language (NL) perspective (NL training, language resources, annotation);
• Development of new linguistic resources or other linguistic tasks based on actual project needs
• Language corpora augmentation with domain-specific text data
• Maintenance of test set annotation and E2E testing on various devices;
• Collaboration with NLP (Natural Language Processing) engineers.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in linguistics, philology or related fields
• Excellent command of Slovenian (min. B2, preferred C1-C2 level);
• Practical knowledge and experience in formal grammars and syntax;
• Interest in linguistics, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Natural Language Understanding, LLMs, etc.;
• Practical experience applying LLMs to computational linguistics tasks
• Eager to learn and use new technologies;
• English proficiency at a level that allows for easy communication in a professional setting.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of other foreign languages (especially Polish, French, German, Spanish or Swedish, Romanian, Dutch);
• Previous experience in computational linguistics or NLP/NLU positions
• Practical knowledge of setting up and developing localization pipelines and tools
• Skills in Git (both command-line and platforms such as GitHub);
• Familiar with JSGF format;
