Job summary

Arup in Poland seeks a Computational Designer to join the Europe Central team, creating automation workflows and digital tools that support engineers in Warsaw, Kraków and Amsterdam. You will translate complex challenges into practical software solutions and work across disciplines to improve project outcomes.

You will collaborate with engineers on BIM, structural, MEP and aviation projects, developing tools with Grasshopper, C#, Python, and APIs, while helping teams adopt new digital ways of

Qualifications

• 4+ years in computational design or engineering automation.
• Strong Grasshopper and C# skills.
• Experience developing plugins or API integrations for engineering platforms such as Autodesk, Tekla or Bentley products.
• Fluent English; Polish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering challenges into practical digital solutions, scripts and reusable automation workflows.
• Engage with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to understand needs, map processes and define clear requirements.
• Develop and implement tools using Grasshopper, C#, Python and relevant APIs.
• Present proposed solutions, gather feedback and support teams in adopting new digital tools and ways of working.
• Collaborate across disciplines and projects, sharing knowledge beyond a narrow coding remit.
