Job summary

Arup in Poland invites a Computational Designer to join a growing Europe Central team spanning Warsaw, Kraków and Amsterdam. You will translate engineering challenges into practical digital solutions, build automation workflows and develop tools using Grasshopper, C#, Python, and BIM/CAD APIs.

You will collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams, map workflows, and drive adoption of new digital tools. Excellent communication in English is essential; Polish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience 4+ years in computational design or engineering automation.
• Strong capability in Grasshopper and C#. Python and BIM/CAD automation are valuable.
• Experience developing plugins or API integrations for Autodesk, Tekla or Bentley products.
• Familiarity with Revit and Rhino.Inside is beneficial.
• Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder-engagement skills with fluent English; Polish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering challenges into practical digital solutions, scripts and reusable automation workflows.
• Engage with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to map processes and define clear requirements.
• Develop and implement tools using Grasshopper, C#, Python and engineering software APIs.
• Present proposed solutions, gather feedback and support teams in adopting new tools.
• Collaborate across disciplines and projects, sharing knowledge beyond a narrow coding remit.
