Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline is seeking a seasoned compensation operations lead to design, configure and continuously improve compensation processes across countries. You will partner with HR, Finance, and IT to ensure data integrity, system readiness and user adoption.

You will own end-to-end process design, testing and releases, while guiding stakeholders across HR and business leaders. The role offers hybrid work in Poland and exposure to global projects that shape how we reward colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in compensation operations, HR systems or HR process design.
• Hands-on experience with compensation systems or HRIS configuration and support.
• Strong process mapping, documentation and testing skills.
• Fluent English; Polish language skills are desirable.
• Experience with global compensation programs and multi-country payroll integrations.
• Familiarity with Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end compensation process design and system configuration for market and global programs.
• Translate business requirements into clear process maps, system requirements and test cases.
• Manage system changes and releases, including UAT coordination, issue tracking and change communication.
• Work with HRIS and IT teams to ensure data integrity, security and accurate integrations between payroll, HR systems and reporting tools.
• Provide operational guidance and training to HR colleagues and managers on compensation process and system use.
• Support governance, audit readiness and compliance with local legal and fiscal requirements.
• Own daily support and resolution for compensation process queries.
• Document standard operating procedures and maintain a clear knowledge base.
• Partner with Finance and Rewards teams on budget controls, approval workflows and reconciliation processes.
• Drive continuous improvement using data, user feedback and benchmarking to simplify processes and reduce manual work.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal technology teams for system updates, releases and performance improvements.
• Support project workstreams for global rollouts, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.

This position is hybrid based in Poland with a blend of on‑site and remote work.

Basic Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in compensation operations, HR systems or HR process design.
• Hands‑on experience with compensation systems or HRIS configuration and support.
• Strong process mapping, documentation and testing skills.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders across HR, Finance and IT in a matrixed environment.
• Fluent English; Polish language skills are desirable.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Experience with global compensation programs and multi‑country payroll integrations.
• Familiarity with common HR systems (for example, Workday (must have), SAP SuccessFactors, or similar).
• Experience with data tools and basic SQL or reporting tools for reconciliation and analysis.
• Knowledge of local employment and tax requirements in Poland or Central/Eastern Europe.
• Background in project delivery, release management or change control practices.
• Strong training, coaching and user adoption experience.

Salary

Polish Salary Range / Polski przedział wynagrodzenia: PLN228,750 to PLN381,250The annual gross base salary range for new hires in this position is listed above for each applicable location. In addition, this position may offer an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role.
