For one of our clients in the automotive sector, we are looking for a: Commodity Buyer

We are seeking a strategic and analytical Commodity Buyer to join the purchasing team and support the development of a global supplier base. If you have experience in procurement, especially in the automotive industry, and want to work in a dynamically international company, this opportunity is for you.

Your responsibilities:

• Develop and implement commodity strategies aligned with company goals
• Build and manage a global supplier panel according to automotive standards
• Lead cross-functional projects with departments such as Quality, Legal, Finance, and Development
• Analyze supplier capabilities, conduct audits, and create supplier development roadmaps
• Develop cost models and drive efficiency initiatives
• Negotiate and manage framework agreements with key suppliers
• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and contractual terms
• Handle RFQs, supplier capacity planning, and performance monitoring
• Support project buyers during negotiations and supplier-related crises

Requirements:

• Proven experience in commodity or strategic purchasing, preferably in the automotive sector
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills
• Experience in supplier development and contract management
• Knowledge of procurement processes and cost modeling
• Ability to manage cross-functional projects in a global environment
• Good command of English (spoken and written)
• Familiarity with quality standards (ISO9001, IATF16949) is a plus
