Job summary

Kalmar in Stargard, Poland, is seeking a Commissioning and Test Engineer to drive the lifecycle from order to global commissioning with hybrid, electric, and diesel systems. You will conduct final tests, perform PLC programming, and support projects across international sites.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in Electrical, Automation, or equivalent.
• SEP up to 1kV certification.
• Experience with PLC programming (Omron/Siemens).
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic drawings and diagnose machines.
• English at least B1 for technical communication.
• Willingness for regular international travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct final tests and commissioning of machines at plant and customer sites.
• Program PLCs (Omron, Siemens) and diagnose complex architectures.
• Engage in orders from initial phase through 6-month cycle to ensure technical excellence.
• Provide production engineering support at the Stargard plant.
• Travel on-site to international customers.

What Are Your Key Responsibilities

• Comprehensive Commissioning & Testing: Conducting final tests and technical commissioning of machines both at the plant and at customer sites.
• PLC Programming & Diagnostics: Working with PLC controllers (Omron, Siemens) primarily using ladder logic, and diagnosing complex machine architectures.
• Project Involvement: Collaborating on orders from the very beginning (approx. 6-month cycle) to ensure technical excellence.
• Engineering Support: During non-travel periods, performing duties within the production engineering scope at the Stargard plant.
• Global Mobility: Performing on-site tasks for international customers.

What You Bring To The Role

• Education & Certifications: Technical degree (Electrical, Automation, or similar) and SEP up to 1kV certification.
• PLC Experience: Practical knowledge of PLC programming (Omron/Siemens preferred).
• Technical Proficiency: Ability to read electrical and hydraulic drawings and perform machine diagnostics.
• Language Skills: English proficiency at a minimum B1 level for technical communication.
• Mindset & Availability: Openness to professional development, readiness for regular international travel, and the ability to work in challenging environmental conditions.
• Nice to have: UDT certification for operating basket lifts (cherry pickers).
