Job summary

Synerise is seeking a Cloud Security Specialist to join our innovative AI-driven team. In this role you will secure cloud environments (Azure and GCP), implement container security with Kubernetes and Docker, and design DevSecOps in CI/CD pipelines.

You will embed security by design and lead security audits, incident analyses, and policy development. You should have 3+ years in IT security, hands-on Kubernetes security, and strong scripting and monitoring skills.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of IT security experience in cloud-native environments.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes security (RBAC, network policies, pod security standards).
• Proven DevSecOps experience with securing CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD).
• Strong Azure and GCP security features knowledge.
• Scripting in Python or Bash to automate security tasks.
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Elastic Stack, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Knowledge of security frameworks (OWASP SAMM, NIST CSF) and GDPR.
• Preferred certifications: CKS, CISSP, Azure/GCP Security Specialty, CEH.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and secure cloud environments, primarily in Azure and Google Cloud Platform, using built-in security tools and custom controls for self-hosted components based on IaaS.
• Implement and manage security for containerized platforms using Kubernetes and Docker, focusing on microservices-based architectures.
• Design, implement, and maintain DevSecOps solutions in CI/CD pipelines, integrating code security analysis; vulnerability management and SCA; security testing for applications and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to embed security by design throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Conduct security audits, including penetration tests and vulnerability scans, for applications and infrastructure.
• Analyze security incidents, perform root cause investigations, and implement remediation strategies.
• Develop, implement, and maintain security policies and standards based on best practices (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Benchmarks).
• Provide education and training for teams on application and infrastructure security.
