Job summary

International sensor company is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join the System Engineering team in Poland. You will manage AWS infrastructure, migrate on-prem workloads to cloud, and contribute to a future multi-cloud strategy including Azure.

The role is hybrid with two in-office days per month and international collaboration across regions. You will work with an international IT team to deliver secure, stable infrastructure for manufacturing sites and offices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure, system engineering, or system administration.
• Experience with migrating servers/workloads from on-premises to cloud (rehosting/replatforming).
• Good Linux administration skills, including troubleshooting and automation.
• Understanding of core networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPNs, firewalls.
• Experience with Terraform or other IaC practices; scripting with PowerShell or Python is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and ability to work independently.
• Good command of English and ability to communicate with both technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage and enhance AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch).
• Coordinate server migrations from on-prem to AWS; plan cutover and post-migration improvements.
• Configure cloud connectivity (VPCs, routing, VPNs) for offices across regions.
• Develop and maintain IaC solutions using Terraform; automate routine tasks.
• Establish cloud monitoring, logging, backups, and DR capabilities.
• Apply cloud security standards in collaboration with security team.
• Track usage and cost, prepare regular expenditure reports.
• Assist with developing multi-cloud environment including Azure work.

Job description

• We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our System Engineering department and support the development of our cloud infrastructure. The main focus will be managing the existing AWS platform and delivering the transition of on-premises servers to the cloud. You will also contribute to preparations for introducing Microsoft Azure as part of a broader multi-cloud approach.
• You will work closely with an international IT team responsible for delivering secure, stable, and efficient infrastructure for manufacturing facilities and commercial offices across multiple regions.

Your responsibilities

• Manage and enhance the AWS infrastructure, including account structure, landing zone configuration, network setup, security controls, and governance.
• Coordinate server migration activities from local data centres to AWS, covering infrastructure assessment, dependency analysis, migration scheduling, cutover, and post-migration improvements.
• Configure and support cloud connectivity, including VPCs, routing, site-to-site VPNs, and connections to offices and facilities across Europe, North America, and Asia.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform, while automating routine operational activities.
• Establish and maintain cloud monitoring, centralised logging, backup processes, and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Apply cloud security standards, including IAM configuration, least-privilege access, encryption, and security baselines, in collaboration with the security team.
• Track cloud resource consumption, identify cost-saving opportunities, and prepare regular reports on usage and expenditure.
• Assist with the development of the organisation's multi-cloud environment, including initial work on the Azure platform.
• Keep technical documentation, configuration records, and operational guidelines up to date.
• Work with infrastructure operations, cybersecurity specialists, and external service providers to deliver reliable solutions.

Our requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure, system engineering, or system administration.
• Practical knowledge of AWS services, particularly EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, AWS Backup, and AWS Organizations.
• Experience moving servers and workloads from on-premises environments to the cloud, using approaches such as rehosting, replatforming, or infrastructure consolidation.
• Good Linux administration skills, including system troubleshooting, security hardening, and automation.
• Understanding of core networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code practices; scripting knowledge in PowerShell or Python would be an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills, an analytical mindset, and the ability to work independently in a structured manner.
• Good command of English and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical team and business stakeholders.

Optional

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Exposure to Amazon Bedrock or other AWS-based AI services.
• Relevant certifications, for example AWS Solutions Architect - Associate, AWS SysOps Administrator, or Microsoft AZ-104.
