Job summary

A global leader in identity management is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure primarily based on Microsoft Azure. This role is 95% remote with occasional onsite meetings in Warsaw. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience, strong skills in Azure services, and proficiency in Azure DevOps. Job description

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer with strong experience in Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, and PowerShell automation. You will be responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure based primarily on ARM Templates and Azure CLI/PowerShell.

This role is 95% remote, with occasional onsite meetings in Poland (Warsaw) and includes an on-call duty every 5 weeks.

Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure Engineering

Design, deploy, and maintain Azure resources, including:

  • Azure Virtual Machines
  • Azure SQL
  • Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
  • VNets, Subnets, Network Security Groups (NSG)
  • Application Gateways + Web Application Firewall (WAF)

Work with Azure identity-integrated infrastructure components, including:

  • Managed Identities (system- and user-assigned) for workloads, pipelines, automation, and service integrations
  • Microsoft Entra ID integration for authentication/authorization of Azure services
  • Enterprise Applications & Service Principals for app registration, access control, and workload identity
  • Configuration of API Permissions (delegated & application) for automation, Graph API access, and service integrations

Maintain and enhance existing infrastructure using:

  • ARM Templates for IaC
  • PowerShell
  • Azure CLI

Ensure secure, scalable, and standardized deployments across environments.

CI/CD & Automation

Build and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines (YAML preferred). Automatize infrastructure deployment using:

  • ARM Templates
  • Azure CLI
  • PowerShell

Develop PowerShell automation for provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance tasks. Integrate ARM-based IaC with DevOps workflows.

Operations & Support
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure workloads for performance, cost, and reliability.
  • Perform incident response, root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
  • Maintain configuration baselines and documentation for deployed infrastructure.
Security & Governance
  • Implement Azure security best practices across networking, identity, and data.
  • Configure and maintain firewall rules, NSGs, App Gateway/WAF, and RBAC.
  • Support compliance, auditing, and governance frameworks.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 3–5 years experience as Cloud Engineer / DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (VMs, VNets, App Gateway, NSG, Azure SQL, AKS).
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts).
  • Strong PowerShell scripting abilities.
  • Experience writing and maintaining ARM Templates (JSON-based IaC).
  • Skilled in Azure CLI and PowerShell for infrastructure deployment.
  • Understanding of networking: load balancers, routing, DNS, SSL, firewalls.
Nice-to-Have
  • Experience with migration from ARM to Bicep or Terraform (future direction).
  • Knowledge of Helm, Docker, Terraform.
  • Azure certifications (AZ-104 / AZ-303/304 / AZ-400).
Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication and documentation habits.
  • Self-driven with ability to operate independently in a remote setting.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Dev, Security, Ops).
