Job summary

Vertex Agility in Kraków is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to build and manage scalable Azure infrastructure and secure foundation platforms. You will work with IaC, cloud networking, security and automation across global teams.

You will collaborate with engineering, Microsoft and Cyber Security to deliver secure-by-design cloud solutions and contribute to Terraform-based infrastructure, IAM, ExpressRoute, firewall and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience building and managing services in Microsoft Azure.
• Expert understanding of DevOps principles and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code technologies.
• Good understanding and practical experience implementing CI/CD pipelines across multiple technology stacks.
• Experience with Azure networking, including DNS, IP allocation, traffic routing, NSGs, Azure Firewall and ExpressRoute.
• Good understanding of cloud security, IAM, compliance, auditing and monitoring.
• Experience working with Linux and Windows operating systems, containers and cloud monitoring.
• Understanding of operational risk standards covering security, availability, resiliency, logging and monitoring.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work effectively with application, IT, security and global teams.
• Ability to collaborate across international and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage Azure foundation platforms to support deployments.
• Engineer and automate Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
• Design, develop, document and maintain reusable Azure functional patterns and code libraries.
• Integrate, configure, deploy and manage common cloud services including IAM, networking, monitoring, operating systems and containers.
• Manage Azure connectivity and networking, including ExpressRoute, DNS, IP allocation, traffic routing, NSGs and Azure Firewall.
• Work with hardened Linux and Windows OS images and ensure secure platform configurations.
• Ensure Azure infrastructure complies with security policies and operational risk standards.
• Support standards covering networking, firewall, operating systems, logging, monitoring, availability and resiliency.
• Work closely with Application teams, IT teams, Microsoft and Cyber Security to deliver secure-by-design cloud solutions.
• Improve automation and engineering practices to deliver reliable and reusable Azure infrastructure.

Job Opportunity: Senior Azure Cloud Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a technically strong Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to build and manage highly resilient, scalable and secure Azure infrastructure within a global Azure Cloud Services team. You will work on Azure foundation platforms, Infrastructure-as-Code, cloud networking, security, compliance and automation while collaborating with engineering, application, Microsoft and Cyber Security teams.
