Job summary

Solid in Cracow invites an Azure DevOps Engineer to join a leading global bank's Azure WAF and cloud platform team. You will design, implement, and operate secure cloud infrastructure across IAM, networking, monitoring, and containers, with a focus on reliability and scalable automation.

You will work in a hybrid setup with part-time presence in Cracow, contributing to Terraform/ARM deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and security tooling while leveraging Terraform, ARM, and PowerShell skills to

Qualifications

• Hands-on Azure WAF engineering and cloud security implementations.
• Experience deploying IaaS/PaaS in Azure and automating with IaC.
• Proficient in CI/CD pipelines and dev-sec practices.
• Familiar with security/compliance tools like Defender or Sentinel.
• Excellent understanding of high-availability web infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of core Azure services (identity, networking, compute, storage, containers).

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Azure WAF as part of an uplift programme.
• Build and manage the Azure platform to support app deployments.
• Deliver IaC solutions using Terraform and ARM templates.
• Configure and manage core cloud services (IAM, networking, monitoring, containers).
• Handle Azure networking: ExpressRoute, DNS, IPs, NSGs, Azure Firewall.
• Ensure compliance with operational risk standards (network, OS, logging).
• Support CI/CD/testing pipelines and apply central patches.
• Maintain docs, troubleshoot, and assist app teams.
• Stay current with tech trends and share knowledge.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security and other teams to align on requirements.
• Provide day-to-day infrastructure support.

The Azure DevOps Engineering team builds scalable, resilient, and automated solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform, supporting public cloud strategy. This role reports to the Azure Engineering Lead and collaborates with cloud, Microsoft and security teams to deliver secure-by-design, compliant engineering capabilities.

What will you do:

• Configure and manage core cloud services (IAM, networking, monitoring, containers)

Skills:

• Proven hands-on experience in Azure WAF engineering
• Strong background in cloud network security and secure architecture
• Experience deploying IaaS/PaaS in Azure
• Understanding of DevOps, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM, PowerShell or Ansible)
• Skilled in building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub
• Familiarity with security/compliance standards and tools like Microsoft Sentinel or Defender
• Experience with high-availability web infrastructures (e.g. proxies, load balancing)
• Technical knowledge across key Azure services (identity, networking, compute, storage, containers, databases)

Nice to have:

• Industry cloud certifications, multi-cloud experience Azure + GCP/AWS
• Programming experience in the following languages: PowerShell, Terraform, Python Windows command prompt and object orientated programming languages
• Experience of Linux administration and scripting
