Job summary

Ework Group is seeking a Senior Cloud Fullstack Developer to own cloud deployment, backend and frontend work, and a React-based web portal integrated with an IoT platform. You will deploy to AWS, manage CI/CD, and ensure secure, scalable operations across devices and generations.

The role involves adapting the UI for markets, shipping production code, and collaborating with external partners. On-site role with weekly office presence near Cracow is expected.

Qualifications

• Must contribute backend and frontend code for an OEM cloud and IoT platform, with Node.js/Express and React responsibilities.
• Experience deploying to AWS, containers, CI/CD pipelines, and secret management.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and Redis, and working with Git repositories.
• Ability to ship production code changes and adapt integrations as services evolve.
• Collaborating with external delivery partners to deliver integrated solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own cloud deployment, backend/frontend engineering, and production operations for an IoT cloud and React portal.
• Maintain and adapt the stack in staging/production, including UI adaptation for markets.
• Deploy and maintain AWS infrastructure, CI/CD, and environment configurations.
• Ensure security, monitoring, and incident response; update runbooks and docs.
• Coordinate with partners and internal teams for release planning and deployment.

Please note, there is an expectation from the Client to be at least once per week at the office in Zabierzów near Cracow.

Description:

The project involves backend development for a module responsible for secure communication between new and existing devices. The solution handles encryption and message exchange using various communication protocols. The main goal is to design and develop a backend layer integrating communication mechanisms, ensuring compatibility across device generations, and consistent management of data transmission and security.

Role summary

Own cloud deployment, backend/frontend engineering, web UX adaptation, and production operations for an OEM cloud and React web portal integrated with the IoT platform. You take a delivered baseline, ship it to staging/production, adapt the UI for the market, and keep the stack running - including code and infrastructure changes when platform or product needs require it.

Responsibilities

Cloud & operations (~40%)

• Deploy and maintain staging and production on AWS (containers, CI/CD, secrets, Firebase).
• Wire and operate integrations with DCF, CPS, MSF/KMS, CDP event workers.
• Promote releases with rollback; keep environment matrices isolated.
• Monitor APIs, workers, certs; handle incidents; apply security patches.
• Maintain runbooks and monthly ops reporting.
• Implement and maintain Node.js / Express API changes (bugs, security, small features, API contract alignment).
• Adapt integrations when IoT services or SDKs change.
• Own production blockers: auth/JWT, logging, CI gates, config externalization.
• PostgreSQL / Redis / S3 as used by the stack; review and take code ownership after handover.

Frontend / UX (~25%)

• Adapt React + Vite SPA: branding, English copy, theme/config.
• Align menus and screens with platform role specifications (phased by product priority).
• Enforce UX safety rules (e.g. no remote actuation from web where prohibited).
• Fix web defects from UAT; smoke-test critical flows before releases.

Must-have skills

• Node.js / Express APIs and React SPAs (Vite or equivalent).
• AWS, containers, CI/CD (e.g. GitHub Actions); secrets and env management.
• PostgreSQL; comfort with Redis and object storage.
• Shipping production code changes (not only operating systems).
• Working with external delivery partners and shared Git repositories.

Nice to have

• Firebase Auth; API and E2E automated tests.
