Kingfisher is looking for an Associate Cloud Engineer (DevSecOps) to join our platform team in Kraków on a hybrid model (1 day per week in the office). You will help build secure, scalable cloud solutions, automate pipelines, and implement security practices across the software delivery lifecycle while collaborating with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Foundational DevOps and Agile/Scrum knowledge.
• Basic DevSecOps concepts and security best practices.
• Experience with CI/CD and cross-functional teamwork.
• Familiarity with Jira and issue-tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Support security best practices across the software delivery lifecycle.
• Contribute to automation across infrastructure, CI/CD, and security controls.
• Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure delivery pipelines.
• Collaborate with platform teams to support infrastructure strategy.
• Review automation solutions and identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist with deployment, maintenance, and operation of IaaS, PaaS, and platform tooling.
• Develop and promote platform standards and documentation.
• Assist with monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

About the role

We are looking for an Associate Cloud Engineer (DevSecOps) to join our platform team and support the development of secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions. Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of security best practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle
• Contribute to automation initiatives across infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and security controls
• Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure delivery pipelines and paths to production
• Work closely with the Tech Lead, Principal Engineer, and engineering teams to support the platform in line with the infrastructure strategy
• Participate in reviewing existing automation solutions and help identify opportunities for improvement
• Support the deployment, maintenance, and operation of IaaS, PaaS, and platform tooling capabilities
• Contribute to the development and adoption of platform standards, best practices, and documentation
• Assist with platform support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities

What you'll bring

• Foundational understanding of DevOps principles and Agile/Scrum ways of working
• Basic knowledge of DevSecOps concepts and security best practices within the software delivery lifecycle
• Exposure to Continuous Delivery practices and collaboration within cross‑functional teams
• Problem‑solving mindset with a willingness to learn and develop technical skills
• Experience or academic exposure to CI/CD tools, such as GitLab
• Familiarity with Jira or similar work management tools
• Basic experience with Infrastructure as Code concepts, ideally using Terraform
• Some experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Shell, or Bash
• Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably AWS or GCP
• Understanding of fundamental networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTPS, TLS/SSL, and SSH
• Awareness of security concepts and tools used in cloud environments
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as DataDog, Dynatrace, or similar is an advantage
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
