Job summary

Unit4 is seeking a Cloud Database Administrator for its Cloud Operations team. You will manage daily SQL in Azure and shared environments, install and migrate SQL Server databases, handle backups and tuning, and ensure documentation is current while advising customers.

This role emphasizes collaboration with the Cloud team and strong English communication. The DBA will work in a modern, cloud-first environment, supporting Unit4’s ERP-focused platform and maintaining high availability in both

Qualifications

• Experience in Windows OS, Active Directory, SQL server, PowerShell.
• Database Design & Architecture: Schema design, normalization/denormalization, data partitioning and sharding strategies.
• Performance Optimization: Query tuning and indexing.
• Experience with database monitoring tools and proactive alerting.
• PostgreSQL is an advantage.
• Willingness to learn and grow with new technologies.
• Knowledge of MS Windows Server monitoring and maintenance; automation and scripting (PowerShell, JSON, etc.).
• Good English communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Daily management and monitoring of SQL infrastructure in Azure and data centers.
• Install, migrate and manage SQL Server database environments in Unit4 cloud platform.
• Backups, performance tuning and optimization of database servers.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and advise customers.
• Collaborate with Cloud teams on issue analysis, prioritization and resolution.

Job Description

We are looking for a Cloud Database Administrator for the Unit4 Cloud Operations department. As Database Administrator (DBA) you are responsible for the daily SQL management and maintenance for our customers and shared environments in our (Public) Cloud infrastructure.

• You will be responsible for the daily management and monitoring of SQL infrastructure and make changes where necessary (running in Microsoft Azure and regular data centers)
• You will install, migrate and manage SQL Server database environments of customers in the in Unit4 cloud platform
• You will be responsible for backups process, performance tuning and optimization of database servers;
• You will ensure that the documentation is up-to-date and plays an active role in guiding and advising customers
• You will work in close interaction with Cloud team's in customer issues analysis, prioritization and resolution

Qualifications
