Job summary

A technology solutions provider is seeking a Senior Developer to lead the development of web service systems using C# and .Net, primarily focusing on WCF. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining code quality, providing expert support for their tasks, and effectively communicating with business stakeholders. Successful applicants should have extensive knowledge of C#, .Net, and WCF, and experience with performance testing tools. This full-time position is based in Wrocław, Poland.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of C# and .Net, experience with .Net 4.0 or higher.
• Hands-on experience with WCF services and understanding of SOA.
• Fair knowledge of MSSQL; experience with performance testing a plus.

To plan and carry out development of web service systems based on WCF with extremely high expansion plans.

Should be able to provide expert knowledge support of owned tasks (i.e. code developed by candidate).

Communicate proactively with business on status & progress – directly to London line managers and traders desk.

Able to come up with options to ensure application is stable – own ideas and technologies welcome.

Quality of delivered code is maintained and be able to write code using TDD methods & be able to test it thoroughly before giving the code to QA for testing.

Be able to respond to client requests related to connecting to service or to get data from service.

Key technical skills

Mandatory:

• Strong knowledge of C#, .Net
• Hands on experience on .Net 4.0 or higher versions
• Knowledge of WCF service using C#
• Knowledge of SOA
• Be able to deploy WCF service and maintain it
• Fair Knowledge of database MSSQL (Oracle a plus)
• Knowledge of REST in WCF
• Be aware of security flaws & how to overcome it when a service is hosted on Internet
• Understanding of setting up Load Balancing to share the load of service
• Be able to simulate performance testing of service using tools like SoapUI etc.
• Should be able to maintain quality of code, come up with ideas to improve processes
• Should be able to work independently and within team
• Experience of supporting applications
• Knowledge of Scrum
