Job summary

A global multi-line insurer in Warsaw is seeking a Claims Handler to enhance claims management for commercial insurance. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in claims handling, a solid grasp of Polish insurance law, and exceptional communication skills. Qualifications

• 5+ years claims handling experience in commercial, industrial, or corporate insurance.
• Solid understanding of Polish insurance law and regulatory environment.
• Experience managing complex or high-value claims.
• Degree in Law, Insurance, Business, or related discipline.
• Analytical and decisive, able to manage multiple stakeholders under pressure.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong team player with proactive work style.
• Fluent in Polish and English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle, analyze, and resolve claims for commercial business in line with service standards.
• Review policy coverage and negotiate settlements with customers and brokers.
• Ensure accurate claims handling balancing customer focus with legal requirements.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Risk Engineering, and Legal to resolve complex cases.
• Support digitalization of claims processes.
• Act as a point of escalation for complex claims.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing within the Claims team.

YourResponsibilities

• Handle,analyzeand resolve claims for commercial business (Property, Liability, and related lines) independently and in line with Zurich’s service standards
• Review policy coverage, gather facts, assess losses, and negotiate settlements with customers, brokers, and other partners
• Ensureaccurate,timelyclaims handling, balancing customer focus with adherence to legal and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate closely with Underwriting, Risk Engineering, and Legal to resolve complex cases andidentifyprocess improvements
• Support digitalization and continuous development of claims processes
• Act as a point of escalation for particularly complex or high-value claims (for Senior/Expert level)
• Contribute to sharing knowledge and best practices within the Claims team

YourProfile

• 5+ years (mid-level) or 8+ years (expert level) claims handling experience in commercial, industrial, or corporate insurance
• Solid understanding of Polish insurance law, policy wordings, and the regulatory environment
• Experience managing complex or high-value claims with a customer and solutions-oriented approach
• Degree in Law, Insurance, Business, or related discipline; professional insurance qualifications are a plus
• Analytical, decisive, and able to manage multiple stakeholders under time pressure
• Excellentcommunicationandnegotiationskills
• Strong teamplayer with proactive, reliable, and collaborative work style
• Fluent in Polish and English (spoken and written); German language skills are an advantage
