Qualifications

• A PhD in chemistry, analytical chemistry, materials science, or related discipline.
• Strong experience in organic synthesis, electrochemical/optical sensing, biosensors, or chemical biology.
• Practical expertise in electrochemical instrumentation and spectroscopic characterization techniques.
• A strong interest in combining electrochemical methods, molecular recognition strategies, and spectroscopic approaches for the development of advanced bio-sensing platforms.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills, demonstrated experience in international research environments, a strong publication record, and well-developed scientific writing, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience in laboratory work in accordance with health and safety regulations, including handling hazardous chemicals and volatile organic solvents.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary research team.

Responsibilities

• Synthesis and characterization of functional molecular probes and sensing components.
• Development and optimization of electrochemical and spectrophotometric detection methodologies.
• Investigation of enzyme-mediated reactions and signal amplification mechanisms.
• Performing electrochemical studies using cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.
• Conducting optical characterization using UV-Vis and fluorescence spectroscopy.
• Performing typical postdoctoral responsibilities, including transforming research outcomes into high-quality scientific publications, actively participating in group meetings and scientific discussions, supporting and mentoring junior researchers, troubleshooting experimental challenges, and contributing to the collaborative scientific environment of the research team.
