Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java 17+, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot 3.x. You will work with Nasdaq Calypso to support financial systems and integrate messaging platforms like Kafka and ActiveMQ/JMS.

The role allows a flexible mix of remote, onsite, or in-office work to fit project needs while fostering collaboration with global teams and clients.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial experience as a Java Backend Developer
• Experience with Nasdaq Calypso software
• Strong knowledge of Java 17+, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot 3.x
• Experience with messaging platforms such as ActiveMQ/JMS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ
• Experience with SQL Developer
• Experience in writing tests (unit, integration, functional) using JUnit or similar libraries
• Understanding of secure coding practices and common application vulnerabilities
• Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean code principles
• Understanding of application observability concepts, including logging and metrics
• Good written and spoken English (B2+)
• Ownership mindset, proactive attitude, and strong communication skills

THE WORK
