Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Kraków is seeking an early-career CAD Engineer to support administration, planning, and 3D modeling efforts across CSA, Electrical, and Piping disciplines.

You will work in a hybrid setup, collaborating with software vendors and internal teams to optimize CAD data flows and ensure quality standards are met. Strong English and problem-solving skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 1+ years of experience with different CAD applications (Autodesk, AVEVA, Hexagon).
• Experience in troubleshooting software issues.
• Understanding of software development techniques and processes.
• Strong verbal and written English language skills.
• Strong planning, organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of a wide variety of CAD software applications.

Responsibilities

• Support CAD Administration Lead in daily tasks.
• Plan, schedule and complete assignments independently within project schedule and budgetary requirements.
• Oversee the creation and development of 3D models and related engineering data across disciplines (CSA, Electrical, Piping).
• Ensure robust Drawings and data management; control revisions.
• Manage CAD data tools and license usage with software vendors.
• Develop interfaces between CAD tools and other enterprise software for data collection and reporting.
• Streamline processes with standard procedures to optimize performance.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks.

Contribute to the selection/development of CAD engineering and design tools used within the GOS organization. Work with team members to troubleshoot software issues and develop solutions. Support the population and maintenance of plant data associated with multiple engineering applications.

You will report to Computer Aided Engineering Manager and be located at Kraków office. You will work in hybrid model with 2 days at office.

Responsibilities:

Support CAD Administration Lead in daily tasks.

Plan, schedule and complete assignments independently within project schedule and budgetary requirements.

Oversee the creation and development of 3D models and related engineering data. These capture design information for any of the associated engineering disciplines, such as CSA, Electrical, or Piping. You will use several software applications, following established project and quality requirements.

Oversee creation and revision control of drawings derived from 3D models or otherwise created.

Oversee data management tools used to store and maintain CAD data.

Perform associated software administration tasks, communication with software vendor and approval of license usage.

Work with important partners to develop and establish interface connections between CAD management tools and other enterprise software solutions for data collection and reporting, such as internally developed applications or other commercially available applications.

Sreamline work processes and guide improvements with standard procedures to ensure the best performance.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil/Structural Engineering

1+ years of experience with different CAD applications, Autodesk, AVEVA, Hexagon-based products

Experience in troubleshooting software issues

Understanding of software development techniques and processes

Strong verbal and written English language skills

Strong planning, organizational and and interpersonal communication skills.

Strong understanding of a wide variety of CAD software applications

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The gross base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 7,333 to 9,133 PLN gross per month. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
