Job summary

Infolet in Poland is seeking an experienced C++ engineer to join an engineering team building a modern flight planning platform used by major airlines worldwide. You'll contribute to real-time weather, airspace data, and route optimization.

The role involves developing enterprise software for on-premise and SaaS deployments, working with cross-functional Scrum teams in an Agile environment and delivering high-quality code with automated tests and reviews.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial C++ experience.
• Strong OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
• Experience developing applications for Windows and Linux.
• Good knowledge of SQL, Git, and Linux/Unix fundamentals.
• Experience with Docker.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good in English and Polish.

Job description

Join an engineering team developing a modern flight planning platform used by more than 30 airlines worldwide, including some of the industry's largest carriers. The solution combines real-time weather, airspace restrictions, airport data, and route optimization to help airlines improve operational efficiency, reduce fuel consumption, and optimize flight performance.

You'll work on enterprise software delivered both as an on-premise solution and as a SaaS platform, collaborating with experienced engineers in an Agile environment.

You will

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications in C++
• Build new features and enhance existing functionality
• Maintain and modernize legacy code while improving software quality
• Develop automated tests and participate in code reviews
• Debug complex issues and optimize application performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional Scrum teams throughout the software development lifecycle

Must have

• Experience developing applications for Windows and Linux

• Experience with Docker
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good in English and Polish

Nice to have

• Experience with messaging platforms such as Kafka, ActiveMQ, or IBM WebSphere MQ
• Knowledge of Java or C#
• Experience with Kubernetes and microservices architecture
• Familiarity with REST or gRPC APIs
• Experience with observability tools (monitoring, logging, tracing)
• Knowledge of PowerShell or other scripting languages
• Experience using JIRA
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude Code)
