We are seeking an experienced R&D Software Developer focused on C++ application development for performance-critical systems to join our technology organization.
In this role, you will develop, high-performance, and secure software systems built with modern C++ (C++17/20), with a strong focus on real-time behavior, reliability, and long product lifecycle support.
Responsibilities:
- Develop system design in areas like multithreading, synchronization, I/O, and latency requirements for real-time operation.
- Develop high-performance C++ cores to managed runtime services (.NET, RUST) with minimal latency overhead.
- Implement performance optimization and scalability: profile threading behavior, minimizing lock contention, reducing memory allocations in critical paths, and ensure predictable latency at scale.
- Practical usage of modern programming practices and techniques based on the latest C++ standard.
- Maintain high code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to SOLID, KISS, DRY and industry best practices.
- Participate in technical architecture reviews, design documentation, and roadmaps for feature development.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
- Support strategic technology decisions on dependencies, build tooling, dependency management, and secure software supply chain practices.
- Maintain cross-platform support: drive modernization of build systems, ensure consistency across multiple deployment environments, and support Linux/Windows compatibility.
- Practical Linux development and deployment strategies.
- Work effectively within an agile environment.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in senior technical roles.
- Advanced proficiency in modern C++ (C++17/20) with deep understanding of RAII, smart pointers, STL, concurrency, and memory management.
- Practical knowledge of C# development in plus.
- Strong experience with multithreading, synchronization primitives, asynchronous I/O and real-time system design.
- Proficiency with building systems (CMake, Visual Studio) and cross-platform development for Windows and Linux.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture patterns.
- Good understanding of unit and integration testing techniques and testing frameworks.
- Practical experience developing systems monitoring having familiarity with WAMS/WAMPAC, PMU data, and protection and control applications.
- Practical experience working directly with power grid industry clients and exposure to system integration, simulators, or lab environments.
- Good understanding of power system dynamics and the stability challenges introduced by high penetration of renewables
- Excellent command of English.
What can you expect:
- Team of passionate people who love what they do.
- Opportunity to learn and grow.
- Private Medical Care - INTER Polska.
- Co-funded Multisport Card.
- Possible training or certification subsidies.
