C++/C#/CAD Software Developer – Shipbuilding

Are you a Software Developer with experience in C++ or C# and knowledge of CAD? Would you like to work

on software solutions used in the shipbuilding and industrial engineering industries?

Join a Hamburg-based team developing innovative software solutions for customers in the shipbuilding sector.

The role combines hands-on software development with engineering and CAD-related challenges and offers

the opportunity to work on projects directly connected to the digitalization of shipbuilding processes.

Your Role

• Developing customized software solutions based on customer requirements.
• Working on software solutions connected with CAD, ship design and engineering environments.
• Participating in software specification, design, development and implementation.
• Contributing to decisions regarding software architecture and technical solutions.
• Working closely with customers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Taking ownership of assigned development tasks and supporting the successful delivery of projects.
• Sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues in an agile and collaborative environment.
• Depending on your experience, taking a more senior role in coordinating development activities and supporting technical decisions.

What You Bring

We are looking for a developer who combines strong programming skills with an interest in engineering and CAD-related technologies.

Must have

• Professional experience in C++ and/or C# development.
• Good understanding of software development processes, including specification, design and implementation.
• Knowledge or practical experience with CAD.
• Experience working in agile software development teams.
• Ability to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into software solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A customer-oriented approach and the ability to work independently.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to attend a 2–3-week training course in Hamburg and make short, regular business trips to Hamburg.

Nice to have

• Experience in the shipbuilding, naval architecture, industrial engineering or manufacturing sectors.
• Knowledge of shipbuilding processes, including design, engineering and manufacturing workflows.
• Experience with software used in ship design or production environments.
• Knowledge of Java.
• Experience with PLM/PDM systems or CAD integration.
• Knowledge of German.
