Overview

BYD is a leading, high-tech multinational company with activities in IT, automotive, new energy, and rail transit. BYD Europe BV in Schiedam, Netherlands, is the marketing and sales HQ of BYD Co., Ltd. BYD Europe offers a full line of BYD electric vehicles, including all-electric cars, all-electric buses, and all-electric forklift trucks.

Location – Poland. The location is flexible within Poland. Although BYD has its subsidiary in Poland, remote work from home office and frequent travels within Poland regions apply for this role.

Why Sales department: BYD Forklift is expanding into the European market with its Lithium Iron-phosphate technology on its full range of counterbalance forklifts and warehouse equipment. The Sales Department employs professionals in forklift business from various countries, with the main responsibility of establishing, maintaining and improving the dealer network and driving sales in the regions they are responsible for.

Role

As Sales Manager your tasks will be:

  • Responsible for the overall sales of the BYD battery electric forklifts in Poland & Surrounding Region.
  • Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the assigned area that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Work closely with the BYD Forklift HQ in the Netherlands about customers’ requirements and product specifications and development.
  • Initiate and coordinate the development of action plans to penetrate new market sectors in the assigned area.
  • Develop, complete, maintain and support BYD forklift dealer network in Poland & Surrounding Region.
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate and national key account customers in Poland & Surrounding Region.
  • Support BYD European Key Account Manager with local dealer supports, site visits and business meetings and local contracts.
  • Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
  • To regularly and constantly collect market information via various sources and channels.
  • Participate and represent BYD in marketing events and maintain relationship with press.
  • Other related activities and contingent assignments.
Your profile
  • 10 years of working experience in the forklift and material handling sector in the position of network development and sales.
  • Experience with network development and dealer management.
  • Experience with national key account management.
  • Business-related Bachelor’s degree;
  • Excellent English language skills;
  • Highly skilled Excel and PowerPoint user;
  • Skilled at strategic decision making, critical thinking, negotiation, product knowledge, attention to details, sales numbers, planning and time management
  • Honest and optimistic team player with straightforward communication manner;
  • Management experience preferred as this job offers the possibility of being promoted to the manager of the department.
  • Ready for frequent travels, up to 60% time.
  • Counterbalance forklift and reach truck driver license, training is an advantage.
