Job summary

GE Vernova Warsaw Center is seeking an engineer early in their career to support BWR fuel development and non-BWR core design efforts. You will contribute to developing procedures, applying new methodologies, and performing reactor design analyses with senior engineers guiding code maintenance and documentation.

The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, learning new techniques, and collaboration across teams to meet customer requirements and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering required.
• Experience with reactor core design and neutronics/thermal-hydraulics methods.
• Proficiency with at least one neutron/thermal-hydraulics code such as Serpent, MCNP, LANCR, PANAC, OpenMC or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Support BWR fuel development initiatives and non-BWR core design.
• Develop, document, and improve design application procedures.
• Apply new methodologies for reactor design applications.
• Perform core design and fuel design analyses.
• Maintain and document nuclear analysis codes and methods.
• Prepare and present technical data to internal stakeholders.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and regulatory expectations.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and customers.
