Job summary

Woodward Inc. in Poland is seeking a procurement professional to build strong supplier relationships, process orders on time, monitor inventory, and prevent shortages or excess stock.

You will coordinate with ERP, operations and logistics to keep materials flowing through manufacturing into finished products. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, strong negotiation and analytical skills, and fluency in English and Polish.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply, on-time delivery, and consistent product quality.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and on time, ensuring all required approvals are obtained.
  • Monitor inventory levels, identify purchasing needs, and help prevent stock shortages or excess inventory.
  • Support cost analysis and negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to achieve cost-effective purchasing solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier information, purchase orders, and transactions in the company’s procurement system.
  • Coordinate with ERP, operations, and logistics teams to support the flow of materials through the manufacturing process into finished products.
  • Identify supply chain issues and implement effective solutions to maintain smooth and efficient operations.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Negotiate favorable prices and terms with suppliers to ensure the best value for the company.
  • Analyze market trends, pricing data, inventory levels, and supplier performance to support informed purchasing decisions.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of requirements and expectations.
  • Manage purchase orders, contracts, supplier data, and inventory records with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support a reliable supply chain and secure favorable terms.
  • Prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines and business objectives.
  • Identify supply chain issues and implement practical solutions to maintain smooth operations.
  • Use procurement, ERP, inventory management, and operations management software to streamline purchasing processes.
  • Understand supply chain, logistics, and manufacturing processes, including the flow of materials into finished products.
  • Develop and monitor inventory controls, including stock limits and replenishment requirements.
  • English and Polish skills required.
  • Nice to have: APICS - courses in the field of inventory management.
