Job summary

Euroclear is seeking a Business Intelligence Support Engineer in Kraków to support Power BI and Cognos reporting services for business users and technical teams. You will analyze incidents, troubleshoot data issues, and collaborate with data engineers and developers to deliver reliable reporting solutions.

The role combines technical problem-solving with customer-focused service in an international Financial Market Infrastructure environment.

Qualifications

As part of our analytics transformation journey, we are strengthening our reporting support capabilities and looking for a Business Intelligence Support Engineer to join our team in Kraków.

Your Role

You will become a key member of our reporting support team, helping business users and technical teams maintain and improve reporting services built on Power BI and Cognos platforms.

You will act as the primary point of contact for reporting-related incidents, service requests, and user inquiries while contributing to the modernization of reporting solutions and the continuous improvement of support processes.

This role combines technical problem-solving, customer service, reporting expertise, and collaboration with engineering and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting Support & Incident Resolution

• Serve as first-line support for Power BI and Cognos reporting services.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents related to reports, dashboards, datasets, schedules, and data refreshes.
• Escalate complex issues to relevant development or platform teams when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with business stakeholders throughout the incident lifecycle.
• Build and maintain a knowledge base of recurring issues and resolutions.
• Identify common reporting problems and propose preventive solutions.
• Contribute to process improvements that increase support efficiency and user satisfaction.
• Support documentation updates and operational procedures.

Reporting & Data Analysis

• Investigate data quality and reporting discrepancies.
• Support report validation and root cause analysis activities.
• Assist users in understanding report functionality and data sources.
• Work closely with report developers and data engineering teams.
• Collaborate with Power BI, Cognos, data engineering, and infrastructure teams.
• Support governance activities related to reporting platforms.
• Contribute to migration and modernization initiatives where applicable.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Experience supporting or developing reports in Power BI - mandatory, IBM Cognos (nice to have or willingness to learn), or other enterprise BI tools.
• Good understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience investigating data and reporting issues.
• Understanding of data warehousing and reporting concepts.
• Familiarity with ticketing and incident management processes.

Professional Skills

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple requests simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with both Power BI (mandatory) and IBM Cognos Analytics (nice to have or willingness to learn).
• Knowledge of ETL or data integration processes.
• Experience working within Agile environments.
• Exposure to financial services, banking, or enterprise reporting environments.
• Experience supporting large user communities.
