Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Engineer in Poland to own and optimize Azure-based data platforms, ETL pipelines, and reporting layers. You will collaborate with Distribution Excellence teams to deliver scalable data solutions and actionable insights across the organization.

The role requires 6+ years in data analytics/engineering, hands-on Azure experience, and strong collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. Hybrid work model may be considered.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Azure-based data platforms (Data Factory, Azure SQL).
• Strong design and optimization experience for ETL/data pipelines.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the Azure environment supporting Distribution Excellence use cases
• Maintain and monitor key services (e.g., data pipelines, storage, integration components)
• Coordinate with IT / platform teams on access, security, and governance
• Maintain and enhance existing ETL pipelines (data extraction, transformation, loading)
• Troubleshoot data pipeline failures and ensure timely resolution
• Optimize data flows for performance and scalability
• Ensure proper documentation of data transformations and logic
• Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries supporting reporting and analytics
• Manage data models used for Power BI datasets and reporting layers
• Ensure data consistency across multiple sources
• Perform root cause analysis for data discrepancies
• Ensure overall ownership and governance of Power BI reporting solutions
• Supervise and guide the development and maintenance of dashboards
• Oversee report performance optimization, usability, and scalability
• Ensure proper management of dataset refreshes, data models, and workspace governance
• Validate translation of business requirements into robust and scalable reporting solutions
• Ensure data quality, completeness, and reliability across all reporting layers
• Implement controls and validation logic within ETL and reporting processes
• Support audit requirements by ensuring traceability of data sources and transformations
• Collaborate with Distribution Excellence teams to understand reporting needs
• Provide actionable insights on distributor performance and risks
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes
• Improve data architecture and simplify existing solutions
• Provide guidance and prioritization for assigned team member

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or Business Intelligence roles
• Proven hands‑on experience with Azure-based data platforms (e.g., Data Factory, Azure SQL, or similar)
• Strong experience in designing, maintaining, and optimizing ETL processes and data pipelines
• Experience working with end‑to‑end data flows (from source systems to reporting layer)
• Experience supporting business/reporting functions (not purely IT‑focused role)
• Experience in collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders
• Experience in coordinating or guiding other team members is an advantage.
