Job summary

BD is seeking an experienced Data Analytics/BI professional to own and manage the Azure-based data platform supporting Distribution Excellence. You will maintain ETL pipelines, develop SQL queries, and oversee Power BI reporting layers while ensuring data quality and governance.

The role requires 6+ years in data analytics/engineering or BI with strong collaboration across IT and business stakeholders in a corporate environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or BI roles.
• Hands-on experience with Azure-based data platforms (Data Factory, Azure SQL).
• Proven ability to design, maintain, and optimize ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Experience supporting end-to-end data flows and reporting functions.
• Strong collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience guiding other team members is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Azure Data Platform Ownership
• Own and manage the Azure environment supporting Distribution Excellence use cases
• Maintain and monitor key services (e.g., data pipelines, storage, integration components)
• Coordinate with IT / platform teams on access, security, and governance
• ETL Process Management
• Maintain and enhance existing ETL pipelines (data extraction, transformation, loading)
• Troubleshoot data pipeline failures and ensure timely resolution
• Optimize data flows for performance and scalability
• Ensure proper documentation of data transformations and logic
• SQL & Data Modeling
• Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries supporting reporting and analytics
• Manage data models used for Power BI datasets and reporting layers
• Ensure data consistency across multiple sources
• Perform root cause analysis for data discrepancies
• Power BI Reporting & Analytics
• Ensure overall ownership and governance of Power BI reporting solutions
• Supervise and guide the development and maintenance of dashboards
• Oversee report performance optimization, usability, and scalability
• Ensure proper management of dataset refreshes, data models, and workspace governance
• Validate translation of business requirements into robust and scalable reporting solutions
• Data Governance & Quality
• Ensure data quality, completeness, and reliability across all reporting layers
• Implement controls and validation logic within ETL and reporting processes
• Support audit requirements by ensuring traceability of data sources and transformations
• Define and document data definitions and KPIs
• Business Partnership (Distribution Excellence)
• Collaborate with Distribution Excellence teams to understand reporting needs
• Provide actionable insights on distributor performance and risks
• Support performance management processes with reliable analytics
• Bridge the gap between technical data structures and business requirements
• Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes
• Improve data architecture and simplify existing solutions
• Introduce best practices in data engineering and reporting
• Team Coordination
• Provide guidance and prioritization for assigned team member
• Ensure continuity, knowledge sharing, and delivery reliability across reporting solutions

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or Business Intelligence roles
• Proven hands‑on experience with Azure-based data platforms (e.g., Data Factory, Azure SQL, or similar)
• Strong experience in designing, maintaining, and optimizing ETL processes and data pipelines
• Experience working with end-to-end data flows (from source systems to reporting layer)
• Experience supporting business/reporting functions (not purely IT-focused role)
• Experience in collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders
• Experience in coordinating or guiding other team members is an advantage
