Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a BI Analyst to lead end-to-end Power BI solution development, including data modeling, reporting, and governance. You will design, develop, and support dashboards and data models for global partners, leveraging ETL, Power BI, and SQL sources.

A hybrid schedule with offices in Katowice or Gdańsk is offered. You will report to the LCS BI Team Leader and work across enterprise data platforms with a data-first mindset and strong analytical skills, including experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience in Power BI enterprise environments.
• Experience with Power BI Desktop/Service/Report Server and Power Query.
• Strong SQL including relational databases and Azure SQL/Databricks.
• Experience with SAP and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Apply best practices in dimensional modeling (star schema) & semantic model design.

• Optimize dataset performance (model size, refresh efficiency, query performance).
• Align reporting outputs with standardized KPI definitions and business frameworks.
• Develop and maintain reusable datasets and governed data models.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues in collaboration with data owners.

Job Description

As BI Analyst you will be responsible for end-to-end Power BI solution development, including data modelling, report design, performance optimization, and governance. You should have expertise in ETL, Power BI, data analytics, and SQL-based data sources, with the ability to translate business requirements into applicable insights and compelling data-driven stories.

We are looking for a data-first mindset and strong analytical skills. Additionally, we are looking for hands‑on experience in building scalable BI solutions, using Power BI, Power Query, and enterprise data platforms (Azure SQL/SharePoint/Dataverse/Databricks). Knowledge of SAP and Salesforce.

You will focus on designing, developing, and supporting Power BI dashboards, data models, and reporting solutions to ensure data-driven decision-making across global partners.

You will report directly to LCS Business Intelligence Team Leader and work in a hybrid schedule with office in Katowice or Gdańsk.

Your Responsibilities

• Gather and translate business requirements into scalable and impactful BI solutions.

The Essentials - You Will Have

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field
• 5+ years of experience in Power BI enterprise environments

The Preferred – You Might Also Have

• Expertise in PBI desktop, PBI Service, PBI Report Server and Power Query
• Experience using DAX (write, tune and optimize) queries, calculated measures and tables.
• Experience building star and snowflake schema architectures, tabular models, and semantic data layers
• Advanced SQL querying, stored procedures, and performance optimization on relational databases (SQL Server, Azure SQL, Databricks)
• Experience connecting to diverse data sources, ETL and designing automated incremental data refreshes
• Row-Level Security (RLS) implementation, workspace management, app publishing, deployment pipelines and licensing structures.
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300)
• Experience supporting services, manufacturing, industrial automation, engineering, or technology organizations.
• Familiarity with ERP, CRM, service management, and financial systems.
• Experience with AI, advanced analytics, or automation platforms.
• Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and product-based delivery models.
