Job summary

ITDS Kraków is seeking a Senior Data Business Analyst to translate business needs into scalable data solutions, focusing on data ingestion, data products, quality processes, and platform integration with Google Cloud and Hadoop.

You will collaborate with data engineers and stakeholders to elicit requirements, map data flows, and create data dictionaries, ensuring traceability across the lifecycle with Agile practices. Fluent English required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, ideally within data analytics or data platform initiatives.
• Experience delivering change initiatives involving multiple internal and external organisations.
• Strong knowledge of data and the data lifecycle.
• Experience working as part of an Agile technology delivery team.
• Practical experience with databases, SQL, and Google Cloud Platform BigQuery.
• Experience developing solutions that integrate third‑party data.
• Understanding of data architecture concepts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage technical and business audiences at different levels of seniority.

Responsibilities

• Elicit and document requirements through interviews, workshops, document analysis, and business process reviews.
• Define project requirements and scope in close collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Communicate project progress, estimates, and updates to stakeholders and senior management.
• Analyse, manipulate, and document data, translating findings into technical specifications for data engineers.
• Support software delivery through analysis, testing, organisational, and project-administration activities.
• Facilitate brainstorming sessions, process mapping, Agile story mapping, and other collaborative delivery practices.
• Ensure requirements, process flows, solution designs, data definitions, lineage, and quality considerations are clearly documented and traceable.
• Produce high-quality business requirements, data dictionaries, source-to-target mappings, process flows, and user guides.

As a Senior Data Business Analyst, you will be working for our client on initiatives that enhance data ingestion, data products, data quality processes, and integration with key platforms such as Google Cloud and Hadoop. You will collaborate with data engineers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional delivery teams to translate complex business needs into scalable data solutions.

Your main responsibilities:

• Elicit and document requirements through interviews, workshops, document analysis, and business process reviews.
