Job summary

Sibelco in Gdańsk, Poland, seeks a Senior Business Controller (FP&A) to partner with cluster leaders, drive robust financial planning, and manage costs and performance in alignment with global objectives.

You will lead monthly close activities, provide timely FP&A reports to management, and support strategic projects across ERP implementations while coaching other controllers in standard costing and manufacturing P&L.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in economics or business (or comparable).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing controlling/FP&A.
• Strong SAP 4Hana knowledge; standard costing and manufacturing PL.
• Forecasting, budgeting, and cost-control fundamentals, with analytical rigor.

Responsibilities

Together, we can shape the future.Job Description:Are We the Perfect Match?Are you a Finance Business Partner with experience in Business Controlling (FP&A) ready to make a significant impact on a global organization?In this key position you will be a strategic business partner to the Cluster directors, ensuring robust financial planning, cost control, and performance management in alignment with global corporate objectives.This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and proactive team member to join our Business Services Team in Poland!Reports to: Cluster Business Service Manager with a dotted line to Subregional Finance DirectorYour Impact in This RoleAs Senior Business Controller (in other words senior FP&A role), your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Financial Leadership • Lead cluster-level financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. • Deliver monthly performance reviews with analysis of variances (actuals vs. plan/forecast). • Partner with operations to drive profitability and efficiency.Cost Control & Analysis • Monitor manufacturing cost structures including standard costing, variances, and inventory valuation. • Analyze production metrics, material usage, labor, and overhead absorption. • Lead cost-reduction initiatives in collaboration with production and supply chain teams. Reporting & Compliance• Contribute to monthly closing processes in SAP, Tagetik/One Stream • Prepare and present timely FP&A reports to local and corporate stakeholders• Ensure adherence to internal controls, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements (COGS/COS, SG&A, Gross Margin, EBIDTA) • Contribute to internal and external audits process (NRV, inventory, costing process)Preparing material pricing calculations for ICO transactions Business Partnering • Act as a financial advisor to the Cluster Operations and Sales directors • Support capital investment decisions with business case analysis and ROI modeling. • Participate in strategic projects (automation, expansion, ERP upgrades, etc.).Additional Supporting roles• Act as an Expert for other Sibelco controllers in Controlling processes and particularly in Standard costing and Manufacturing P&L• Provide coaching and advice to other controllersRequirementsMaster’s degree in economics or business or comparable degree/qualificationMinimum 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing controlling/FP&AStrong SAP 4Hana knowledge and experience in standard costing and manufacturing PLKnowledge of the principles of forecasting and budgeting (revenue and costs side) and cost controlStrong analytical skills, attention to detail and with strong level of accuracyThe idea candidate will have:Capacity to translate data into compelling, action-oriented analysisBe pragmatic, self-motivated, results-oriented, adaptable with the ability to work to numerous pressurized deadlinesPossess strong team spirit with the willingness to help others within the team and across the organizationAbility to work within a multicultural environmentBe a quick adaptor to new technology tools and processesAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamFluent English language ability in both written and spokenWorking knowledge of PolishEmployee Type:PermanentWhy Join Us?Sibelco is more than a workplace—it’s a community that encourages growth, innovation, and collaboration.
