Job summary

ROCKWOOL Poznań is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Business Assurance team. You will turn data into insights, build dashboards, and support compliance and audit activities across our stone wool business.

The role emphasizes developing analytical capabilities, automating data tasks, and collaborating with IT and Group Data Analytics, with opportunities for travel for site visits and audits.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in IT, internal audit, data analytics, compliance, finance or risk management.
  • Fluent in English and able to interact across cultures.
  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Economics, IT, or related field.

Responsibilities

This includes a variety of activities aimed at enhancing business performance, reducing risks, and ensuring the reliability and sustainability of business processes. Data is becoming increasingly important in supporting Business Assurance activities. As our Data Analyst, you will help us turn data into valuable insights, strengthen our analytical capabilities, and contribute to projects that support both the business and your professional development.

What you will be doing
Data Analytics & Capabilities Development

Drive the department’s analytical capabilities by establishing robust processes for collecting input data, analysing it, building dashboards, and reporting on key findings. Leverage available tools and technologies - including AI solutions like GPT, Gemini and Claude - to enhance efficiency and insight quality where appropriate. Support and upskill team members on effective analytical techniques to streamline analysis, identify emerging risks, and accelerate decision‑making.

Strategy, Automation & Toolkit Expansion

Develop and implement a data analysis strategy tailored to Business Assurance needs. This includes evaluating tools and technologies to automate routine tasks, improve data preparation, and support compliance monitoring. Document best practices and use cases to encourage adoption across the department. Expand the department’s analytical toolkit by evaluating new solutions developing existing reporting. Collaborate with IT and Group Data Analytics teams to integrate new capabilities into existing workflows without disrupting compliance or audit integrity. Partner with Group data analytics peers to share knowledge on new tools and methodologies.

Audit Support, Investigations & Site Visits

Support Business Assurance activities by running pre‑audit data analysis to identify anomalies, preparing comprehensive audit briefings and supporting investigations to accelerate timelines. Participate in compliance audits during site visits (1‑3 business trips per year, around 1 week each) to see the reality behind the data, get to know the people behind the processes and also assess local readiness for adopting new tools. Promote governing policies of the ROCKWOOL Group when visiting entities, educate, train and share good practice and increase the common understanding of ROCKWOOL’s purpose. Furthermore, support the development of a healthy awareness of the need to improve the control environment.

Follow-up & Continuous Improvement

Once significant and relevant findings have been made, you will play a part in identifying needed actions and discuss with key stakeholders (process owners) how we can turn audit findings into actionable process improvements. Follow‑up on agreed audit recommendations with local management and Group Functions.

What you bring

At least 5 years of experience within IT, internal audit, data analytics, compliance, finance or risk management. Technical skills: proficiency in SQL, PowerQuery, DAX, and experience with Power BI/SAC, Snowflake, or SAP is preferred. Master’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Economics, IT, or a related field. The desire and ability to work with many different cultures are a pre‑requisite as well as the skills to interact across the organisation. Strong ownership, self‑driven approach, continuous learning and goal‑oriented mindset. Fluent in spoken and written English.

Nice to have

Knowledge of Python or R, familiarity with modern GenAI solutions in analytics, additional language skills.
