Job summary

Andersen is hiring a Business Analyst to lead the analysis and specification work for a multi-asset crypto wallet integration within a trading platform. The role focuses on deposits, withdrawals, holdings, conversion, and custody integrations, working with Compliance, Legal, QA, and external vendors.

You will translate complex crypto and regulatory requirements into actionable requirements, maintain them in Jira/Confluence, and drive UAT and vendor sandbox testing in a structured enterprise

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Business Analyst writing detailed functional specifications for technical products (API integrations, transaction systems, payment flows) that engineers can build from without ambiguity.
• At least 2 years on crypto, digital asset, or blockchain-based products.
• Strong understanding of blockchain networks, stablecoins, and transaction confirmation models.
• Working knowledge of AML/KYT, Travel Rule, and MiCA compliance.
• Technically fluent: reading API docs, webhooks, idempotency, and asynchronous processing.
• Strong data mapping and process modelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading business and functional analysis for prioritised digital asset initiatives, focusing on the retail crypto wallet build (deposits, withdrawals, holdings, conversion, custody integrations).
• Producing clear, testable SRS, user stories, and acceptance criteria for transaction lifecycles, wallet flows, and vendor integrations.
• Mapping complete transaction flows (deposit detection, address generation, confirmations, withdrawals, screening, reconciliation) including edge cases and failure modes.
• Documenting integration specifications for custody providers, on/off-ramps, and crypto payment processors (API contracts, webhooks, error handling).
• Translating AML/KYT, Travel Rule, and MiCA-related compliance requirements into functional requirements, coordinating with Compliance and Legal Support Engineering and QA, and leading UAT and sandbox testing.
• Maintaining all requirements in Jira and Confluence to standard.

Andersen is hiring a Business Analyst for a project integrating a multi-asset crypto wallet into a trading platform and enabling secure, seamless cryptocurrency and fiat transactions.

The customer is an international financial services company delivering online trading solutions across a wide set of asset classes via in-house web and mobile systems. Active in many regulated markets, the organization is known for investing in modern technologies, high-quality client assistance, and educational tools for users within the digital trading ecosystem.

The project is focused on developing and integrating a multi-asset crypto wallet into an existing financial trading platform. It aims to enable clients to hold, deposit, withdraw, convert, and trade cryptocurrencies alongside fiat currencies, leveraging third-party infrastructure to deliver a secure, scalable, and seamless digital asset experience.

Responsibilities

• Leading business and functional analysis for prioritised digital asset initiatives, with a focus on the retail crypto wallet build (deposits, withdrawals, holdings, conversion, custody integrations).
• Producing clear, testable Software Requirements Specifications (SRS), user stories, and acceptance criteria for transaction lifecycles, wallet flows, and vendor integrations.
• Mapping complete transaction flows (deposit detection, address generation, confirmations, withdrawals, screening, reconciliation) including edge cases and failure modes.
• Documenting integration specifications for custody providers, on/off- ramps, and crypto payment processors (API contracts, webhooks, error handling).
• Translating AML/KYT, Travel Rule, and MiCA- related compliance requirements into functional requirements, working directly with Compliance and Legal Support Engineering and QA throughout delivery by clarifying requirements, assessing change impact, validating functionality, and leading UAT and vendor sandbox testing.
• Maintaining all requirements in Jira and Confluence to HFM department standards.

Must-have

• Experience as a Business Analyst, with significant time writing detailed functional specifications for technical products (API integrations, transaction systems, payment flows) that engineering teams can build from without ambiguity for 5+ years.
• At least 2 years on crypto, digital asset, or blockchain-based products.
• Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals: major networks (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tron), stablecoins, transaction confirmation models, network fees, and their operational implications.
• Working knowledge of crypto-specific compliance: AML/KYT screening, Travel Rule, and awareness of frameworks such as MiCA.
• Technically fluent: comfortable reading API documentation, understanding webhooks, idempotency, and asynchronous processing.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data mapping, process modelling, and edge-case analysis.
• Proven ability to ramp up fast in complex environments and deliver within a fixed engagement.
• Experience working inside structured enterprise environments with defined governance, not only in startup settings.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Nice-to-Haves

• Direct experience documenting integrations with custody providers, on/off-ramps, or crypto payment processors (Fireblocks, BitGo, Copper, or similar).
• Experience in fintech, brokerage, exchange, or other regulated high-risk environments.
• Prior contractor engagements with handover deliverables.
