Job summary

Natural Grocers is seeking a Body Care Manager to oversee the Body Care department, drive profitability, and train staff. You will ensure world-class service, maintain inventory, and lead a team to meet company standards.

The role requires managing margins, merchandising, and coordinating with other departments. You will participate in interviews, handle cash processes, and ensure safety while working a schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-2 years of retail experience in grocery/retail preferred; natural foods background a plus.
• 1-2 years of experience supervising others preferred.
• Ability to pass food safety training courses and certifications as required by law.
• Ability to manage changing priorities and stay focused on tasks.
• Sense of urgency in completing tasks.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Highly organized with great attention to detail.
• Must be cashier trained and able to count currency.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Provide World Class Customer Service as a top priority.
• Maintain inventory levels for the body care department.
• Manage department margin and profitability, minimizing shrink.
• Merchandise shelves, endcaps and dynamic displays.
• Train and monitor department staff; assign and follow up on tasks.
• Open/close store and manage cash processes.
• Handle register functions and customer issues.
• Ensure safety and security of customers and employees.
• Collaborate with Store Manager on performance/disciplinary issues.
• Work schedule includes evenings, weekends and holidays; 40 hours/week.
