Job summary

Scale-X Solutions is seeking an architectural draftsman to create technical drawings and 3D building models in collaboration with architects and engineers.

You will use Revit and CAD tools to prepare drawings, compile documents for building permits, and ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

The role requires experience as an architectural draftsman, knowledge of Australian construction codes, strong communication, and the ability to update drawings as new information emerges.

Qualifications

• Must have relevant experience as Architectural Draftsman.
• Knowledge of Australian construction codes and requirements is a MUST
• Experience in using Revit and Adobe Suite
• Written and verbal communication skills
• An individual thinker and is able to take direction
• In-depth knowledge of building design, specifications, codes, and structural analysis.
• Ability to apply the fundamentals of sketching and design.
• Mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
• The ability to multitask and prioritize your workload
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Great analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical drawings using Revit CAD software
• Work with engineers and other professionals to produce drawings that meet their specifications
• Provide full set of documents for building permit
• Write related technical documents such as material lists and cost estimates
• Ensure that all drawings are accurate and meet industry standards
• Maintain a library of standard drawing templates
• Update existing drawings as new information becomes available
• Using CAD software to create drawings that incorporate exact measurements, calculations, building codes, and other construction details.
• Preparing drawings, charts, and records with CAD equipment and conventional drafting
• Entering CAD data into building information modeling (BIM) systems to create 3-D models and renderings
• Collaborating with architects and construction engineers to ensure adherence to building specifications and industry regulations.
