Job summary

The Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) is seeking a Temporary Bilingual Program Assistant to support the Judy Center at Stevens Forest Elementary School. The role provides bilingual support, family engagement, outreach, and resource coordination for Spanish-speaking families with children birth through age five to promote school readiness.

Under the guidance of the Judy Center Site Coordinator and the Early Childhood Programs team, you will work with staff, partners, and families to

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Two years of clerical/office support experience.
• Experience with bilingual family engagement preferred.
• Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
• Ability to connect families with resources and services.

Responsibilities

• Provide service coordination and support to bilingual families in Stevens Forest attendance area.
• Conduct outreach via in-person visits, virtual meetings, and telephone communication.
• Build relationships to increase participation in Judy Center programs and services.
• Translate and interpret for Judy Center programs and staff when needed.
• Assist families in accessing community resources and wraparound services.
• Maintain logs, records, and documentation; support event planning.
