• Strong, practical experience with Cloudera CDP/Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Airflow).
• Solid Linux administration skills, including Shell/Bash.
• Knowledge of security principles like Kerberos, Apache Ranger, and IAM.
• Experience using Ansible and scripting for automation.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Good documentation and troubleshooting skills.
• Nice to have: Cloudera Administrator and ITIL certifications.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Polish.

Job description

• Operate and administer Cloudera CDP/Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Airflow) and Cloudera Manager in production.
• Perform daily health checks, patching, upgrades, capacity & performance tuning; verify backups and DR procedures.

Monitoring & Security

• Build and maintain dashboards/alerts for cluster, jobs, and services (e.g., Cloudera Manager, Prometheus/Grafana).
• Manage Kerberos, Ranger, and certificate/TLS; enforce IAM, auditing, and compliance with customer security policies.
• Conduct log analysis and root cause investigations; reduce incident noise through better thresholds and correlations.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation

• Codify routine operations with Ansible and scripting (Python/Bash); contribute to reliable runbooks.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and recurring operational tasks; support API based interactions with Cloudera.

Operational Support

• Handle incidents, service requests, and changes via defined ITIL workflows; contribute to reports and service reviews (ITMR).
• Collaborate with BI/Application and Monitoring teams (e.g., SAP BO/TM1/Data Services) to ensure end to end service quality.

Qualifications

• Strong, practical experience operating Cloudera CDP/Hadoop platforms (HDFS, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Airflow) and Cloudera Manager.
• Solid Linux administration (Shell/Bash), fundamentals of networking/storage/resource management.
• Security know‑how: Kerberos, Apache Ranger, TLS/SSL certificates, IAM and audit.
• Automation skills with Ansible and scripting (Python/Bash); exposure to containers (Docker/Podman) is a plus.
• Experience with monitoring/alerting (e.g., Cloudera Manager, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Familiarity with ITIL and SLA‑based operations; clear documentation and troubleshooting skills.
• Nice to have: Cloudera Administrator, Linux (RHCSA/RHCE), ITIL v3/v4 Foundation.
• Very good communication skills in English and Polish complete your profile. German or Czech: a plus. Additional languages are welcome.
