Job summary

Cisco in Kraków is seeking a Software Engineer to reinforce our backend and platform integration efforts. You will build reliable services in Python and Go, contribute to React interfaces when appropriate, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions on the platform in use.

We value 2+ years of software engineering experience, a CS/Engineering degree, and hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, and API design.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software engineering experience with a degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent training or work experience.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Go; willingness to work with both.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and API design principles.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and container orchestration (Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deliver long-term software within existing architecture.
• Maintain and debug the current tech stack; fix issues.
• Collaborate with product, architects, UX, and teams to build features.
• Build backend services in Python and Go; optimize reliability and performance.
• Contribute to React UIs when aligned with interests.
• Lead code reviews and ensure high-quality customer experiences.
