Job summary

Splunk seeks a software engineer to contribute to backend services in Python and Go, with opportunities to touch React interfaces. You’ll work on the App Deployment Team to deliver actionable data experiences on the Splunk Cloud platform.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and/or Go; willingness to grow in Python and Go as needed.
• Hands-on experience with React or another modern front-end framework is beneficial.
• Understanding of automated tests (unit/functional/integration) and basic testing fluency.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, implementation, and delivery of long-term-impact software per requirements and existing architecture.
• Maintain and debug existing technology stack; fix issues.
• Collaborate with product management, architects, UX, and team to build features and reusable components.
• Build, analyze, and optimize backend services in Python and Go for simplicity, efficiency, reliability, and performance.
• Contribute to React-based UI and reusable front-end components when aligned with interests.
