Job summary

Cisco's Webex Engineering Group in Warsaw is seeking a Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain backend features within a microservices architecture. You will work with senior engineers to build robust, scalable solutions and contribute to the production stack across the partner network.

The role emphasizes collaboration with product, SRE/DevOps, and QA teams, plus a focus on code quality, observability, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/Engineering.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong foundation in backend development and production environments.
• Willingness to learn new technologies quickly.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain backend features for microservices with guidance from senior team members.
• Contribute to distributed, highly available microservice architectures.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design reviews, code reviews, and testing.
• Improve system performance, reliability, and observability by resolving issues.
• Leverage AI coding tools to accelerate productivity and learning.
• Collaborate with engineers, product management, and SRE/DevOps teams.
• Participate in incident resolution and learn from production issues in postmortems.
• Commit to continuous learning, code quality, and operational excellence.
