Job summary

LeoVegas Group seeks a Backend Engineer to join the Regulatory Reporting Team, delivering and evolving regulatory reporting functionality for the Netherlands platform. You will work in a high-skilled team on robust microservices and data workflows.

The role emphasizes Java/Kotlin with Spring Boot, MySQL, and English communication; you’ll analyze requirements, document APIs, implement services, run tests, and contribute to on-call rotation when needed.

Qualifications

• Min. 3+ years of experience with Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Experience with MySQL.
• Desire to develop in data engineering and become an SQL expert.
• Familiar with microservice architecture.
• Fluent English (C1) or higher.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements.
• Explore APIs of other domains.
• Write documentation for APIs and services.
• Implement microservices code and tests.
• Troubleshoot and optimize performance.
• Participate in testing and expand automated tests.
• Be available for on-call up to once per quarter (additional pay: 2 500 PLN net for a week).

About The Role

You will join the team of high-skilled Engineers in the Regulatory Reporting Team, responsible for maintaining and developing regulatory reporting functionality for the casino platform in the Netherlands. The solution is mostly settled, but the team is working on improvements and evolutions as well.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Business requirements analysis
• Exploring others' domains API
• Writing documentation
• Implementing microservices code and tests
• Troubleshooting
• Performance fixing and tuning
• Testing (however, we keep working on automated tests)
• You can also be asked to be available on-call a maximum of once per quarter (for a week of on-call availability you will get an additional 2 500 PLN net).
  

OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING

Essential Skills

• Min. 3+ years of experience using Java/Kotlin + Spring Boot framework
• You have experience with MySQL
• You have a desire to develop and work in the data engineering field and become an SQL expert, but no prior experience is required
• You are familiar with microservice architecture
• You speak English fluently (C1 level is a minimum, as we communicate mostly in English)

• Experience with Kotlin and/or Kafka
