Job summary

SplitMetrics is seeking a Backend Engineer to join Acquire engineering. You will design and build scalable, high-load backend systems in Python, handling large data and data pipelines with focus on reliability, security, and performance.

You will work on microservices, Django/FastAPI stacks, and pipelines using Celery, Kafka, Kafka Connect, Airflow, StarRocks, and AWS/Kubernetes. Collaboration with frontend, QA, and product teams is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional Python experience.
• Experience with async task queues: Celery, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ.
• Experience with containerization and Docker.
• Experience with microservices and scaling such systems.
• Experience with Python web frameworks Django or FastAPI.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and performance optimization.
• Solid understanding of web security principles.
• Familiarity with CI/CD approaches and tools.
• Experience with StarRocks, Airflow, Kafka Connect.
• Experience with Kubernetes and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, high-load backend systems in Python.

• We’re searching for a Backend Engineer to join SplitMetrics Acquire engineering team
• Design and implement scalable, high-load systems using various technologies in Python
• Handle Big data. Adapt the product to work with a large amount of data (> 200-400 million records per day)
• Work with data: pipelines, integration, analytics
• Enhance system reliability, security, and performance
• Develop, deploy, monitor, and maintain backend products
• Collaborate on building and scaling microservices-based solutions
• Conduct thorough code reviews within the domain and provide constructive feedback
• Work in and communicate with cross-functional teams (frontend, QA, product manager)
