Zexter is seeking a Backend Developer to join the team remotely, building scalable backend solutions for iGaming products. You will own features end-to-end from development to production, work with NestJS, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Docker/Kubernetes in a modern tech stack.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of commercial backend development with Node.js/TypeScript.
• 5+ years of hands-on production experience with PostgreSQL and other relational databases.
• Strong SQL expertise: indexing, performance analysis, transactions, bottlenecks.
• 5+ years of commercial experience with NestJS.
• Experience with high-load production systems.
• Solid experience with automated testing (unit, component, integration).
• Experience with load testing and bottleneck validation under heavy traffic.
• Experience with Redis, message queues, background jobs, event-driven architecture.
• Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
• Code quality: clean, maintainable, testable, well-structured; ownership and deployment.

Zexter is an ambitious product building its own technological ecosystem in the iGaming space. We are developing our in-house platform, which is already live and actively operating, while also expanding our product line, allowing us to adapt quickly to market needs and implement innovations at speed. We are looking for a Backend Developer to join our team and help us build scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend solutions for our iGaming products. You'll work closely with other engineers and cross-functional teams, taking ownership of backend features from development to production.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• 5+ years of hands-on production experience with PostgreSQL and other relational databases.
• Strong SQL expertise, including:
  • Query optimization for high-load systems.
  • Index design and performance analysis.
  • Transaction management and concurrency control.
  • Identifying and resolving database performance bottlenecks.
• 5+ years of commercial experience with NestJS.
• Excellent understanding of:
  • Dependency Injection.
  • Modular application architecture.
  • Clean Architecture and software design principles.
  • REST API design and backend service architecture.
• Experience developing and maintaining high-load production systems.
• Solid experience with automated testing (unit/component and integration tests).
• Experience with load and performance testing, including bottleneck identification and validating system behavior under heavy traffic.
• Experience with Redis, message queues, background jobs, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience working on systems where financial accuracy, idempotency, transaction consistency, and auditability are critical.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, testable, and well-structured code.
• Strong ownership mindset, taking responsibility for features from implementation and testing through deployment, monitoring, and production incident resolution.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical decisions, implementation details, and associated risks.
• Ability to work effectively under deadlines and independently prioritize tasks.
• Experience with code reviews, debugging, logging, monitoring, and production incident investigation.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the iGaming industry
• Experience developing or maintaining backend systems for online casinos, sports betting, gaming platforms, wallets, payment systems, or transaction processing.
• Experience integrating third-party game providers, payment gateways, or other external services.
• Practical experience using AI-powered developer assistants (Cursor, Claude, or similar).
